We still have to make the CREDITS lump - I've credited Alexmax on the Hub system - I need to know if you guys used other resources (like SSL2 Revisited with essel's texture pack).

Music for MSDuel01 (for now) is from Rare's Perfect Dark for the N64. I'm going to try to find something else to use, maybe try my hand at composing, to remove this, due to the file size. Although with audacity, you may be able to cut this ogg file in half. That's the only resource known that I have to credit.

Updated the first post with most current version.

Notable things upon first glance

3 Step is incorrectly named; it is not 3 Steps
Also, the music was not what I thought it was, though this subject to taste.

First opinions in on The Incinerator

<SoulSucka>Maybe make a little MIDBARS something. (Regarding the area outside)
<SoulSucka>Perhaps those far walls could be substituted by line horizons.
<SoulSucka>And then arrange the walls as if the open area is the front area of the building.
<SoulSucka>And not the "back" of it, you see.

Please test out both versions of the Incinerator, I wish to know which is more preferred. Look out for this

<SpiritSoldier>is how you feel about the extra bits in the open sky area, the sky itself (keep it underground or keep the sky), and the secretish area in the walls on the far side

RESULTS OF THE TESTING

Welcome to the shop

Both of these are going to be remodeled by me

Faded Orange needs some additional detailing, removal of grenade launcher in favour of rocket launcher, done by me.

The Incinerator as edited by Joseph is the map of choice, though some minor details to be worked out are due.

3 Step need some texture work, Nightfall says he will take that one.

Duality is slated for removal: it's too fucking big for this

Late afternoon receives a permanent spot, will replace Duality Map INFO

Final Frontier needs some texture fixing

Wad overall needs an emphasis on smaller sized maps, because apparently it's ridiculous how many large maps we have.

Anything else?

Most of the maps were okay. There were a couple that needed some work, and a few that needed a LOT more work (namely the maps that have nothing but metal textures).

Seriously though, I stick with the theme of rust, machinery, metal, sewage and foundry/factory stuff.

If duality is that ice on lava map then I TOTALLY support the removal of that. The rest of the maps may have had some minor texture misalignments or weren't smooth. Other than duality the playability of the maps was alright.

In other news if I get on tonight I'll try my bet to put in my beta version of the map. It has weapons/items/player starts and the general outline of the map done, along with some texturing, and the rain. The final release will be pretty Smile

Yea Duality is that map.

If you have some suggestions for playability of certain maps, please post them! I want these maps to be highly playable.

Also, when critiquing the maps detail, don't forget we are not (for the most part) expert mappers. For example, the maps that I have made are some of my first maps ever. The idea behind this wad as a clan wad is a chance for maps to get out there, and to get experience as a mapper.

Texture issues were mostly dealt with. Added in cool lighting effects for more of a heated feel.

balance wise I moved some stuff and added access to more SSG work and threw in a rocket launcher

Things to note: Remove the ogg music file for this. Takes up too much space. Find something eerie and slow to replace it.

With Grave claiming the final slot, shit's nearly complete! Get mappin' guys, the end is in sight. Due to real life complications, Angel had to drop his maps. There are now two slots available.

Edit: Malinku submitted an additional map, and I got a new inspiration with Final Darkness (you can imagine what that's going to be like.) If you want to take a space in the 32, I will give up one of my spots for you, so give me a shout.
